Since I took on the Junior League Show House project, I’ve been building up an idea board for my space. Here are some images from a brownstone in Boston designed by Brad & Kendra Dufton of colorTHEORY, and how they transformed the Victorian space with a modern aesthetic.
I like the way they painted the trim and moldings in black and white. These two images (above) are from the same room, with charcoal walls in one and light walls in the other. Notice the window trim paint changes too! The fireplace remains a focal point in both, melding the original marble with a bold wallcovering.
