Thank you to David Ryan and The Boston Globe for including the Bulter's Bar, that I designed with Tracy Foley of Water & Main, in today's Mother's Day edition, along with Vani Sayeed's "La Belle Cuisine" kitchen and Elizabeth Benedict's "Chinoiserie Chic" bedroom.
Tracy and I are also grateful to Regina Cole for the "Step Inside the Bar" article she wrote in today's Sunday Globe Magazine which described all of the special details we added to make the room convey a Hollywood Regency feel while juxtaposing Tracy’s style of mixing the old with the new, with accents of my new hand-screened textiles and "Calisole" wallpaper. We painted the trim and cabinetry in deep teal-green high gloss paint, and had a palette of black, white and brass. One of the most exciting details is the bold brass zipper down the middle of a vintage 1970s settee, Tracy's signature to a new offering of chairs at Water & Main.
