Green Cue: Haworth’s New Boston Showroom

Last week, Haworth, Inc., a global leader in the design and manufacturing of office furniture and organic workspaces, opened its newest showroom in Boston.  The 5,600-square-foot showroom is located on the second floor of the Oliver Street Tower at 125 High Street, just one block away from the heart of Boston’s financial district.

This new space will provide New England-based customers with a local opportunity to experience Haworth’s organic workspace offering.  The new Boston Showroom features Haworth’s Integrated Palette, products that allow users to transition seamlessly from one work style or culture to another, Masters Series casegoods, and the Haworth Collection, which includes products from Italian brands Cappellini, Cassina, Castelli, and Paultrona Frau.

Haworth’s Workspace Studio partnered with Perkins + Will New York and GMB Architecture + Engineering to develop the Urban Squares showroom concept.  “The concept was inspired by the Boston Commons and the abundance of green space throughout the city,” said Haworth corporate brand director, Kurt VanderSchuur.

Besides taking cues from the color “green,” Haworth’s new home, the Oliver Street Tower, recently achieved LEED® Gold for Existing Buildings™ under the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED rating system, as well as an ENERGY STAR rating of 83.  The Oliver Street Tower is comprised of approximately 505,361 square feet distributed on 21 floors.
