Columbus Day weekend is one of my favorite times of the year to be on Nantucket island. This past weekend it happened to be spectacular weather – with unusual temperatures in the 80s. It hardly felt like Fall, but with less crowds in the off-season, it was just perfect.
Three wharf cottages on a morning when the sky matched the painted doors.
An empty courtyard by the Gazebo, and the last of the hydrangea blooms for the season.
A steal of a deal? Turns out the light fixture was marked at $100. The reclaimed barrel chair was 9x as much.
Straight Wharf Restaurant‘s “Our Last Week” menu – stating, “our last night of the season will be Monday, October 10th.”
…even in 80 degrees, we loved the chilly Fall nights.
