Oar Decor

The title?  Corny, I know.  But, after seeing O.A.R. the other day, it seemed like a good lead-in to show oar decor in threes.

This one is all over Pinterest, and probably not a new photo for most.  I love Kay Douglass‘ designs, so I had to share this room.

One of her projects – a 1920s Colonial in the Buckhead area of Atlanta – is featured in Veranda‘s Sept 2011 issue, which arrived in my mailbox last week.  It’s pretty spectacular – bold and modern, but still classic and comfortable.  (Sorry, no images to share.)

The pastels and distressed paint on these oars look so beachy, and the number “3” adds another nautical touch.
