Friends of ours welcomed their twin boys last week and it got me thinking about baby gifts. I try to think back to what some of my favorites were to receive, so here are my top 3 picks.
This Little Piggy Went to Prada: Nursery Rhymes for the Blahnik Brigade by Amy Allen is the perfect gift for the fashionista mom! One of my fashion colleagues sent this to me, and I’ve loved it so much, that I’ve already given the book to a couple of stylish moms.
Customized baby gifts are also my favorites to give and to receive, like monogrammed T-shirts, towels and tote bags. But in the case of not knowing a baby’s name or initials, these handmade T-shirts by Wink and A Nod are perfect! Each design is made from hand cut fabric and hand sewn. The fun designs – a birthday cake, a frog, a unicorn, a ladybug – along with the handmade element make them such a unique gift. My girls love them so much that they want to wear the same shirt everyday!
Third on my list is baby GEAR!
A stroller is great group-gift to give. If UPPAbaby offered a triple stroller, we would have been so happy! I love these strollers; the VISTA, the G-Luxe and G-Lite. The color selection is very hip (let’s face it, I always go for style) and New York Magazine’s “Best Baby Gear Guru” highly recommends them (and will talk people out of more expensive strollers and into the UPPAbaby VISTA). You can check out Jamie Grayson’s recommendation at The BabyGuy Gear Guide here for details on the quality and functionality. But if looks are all you are going for, isn’t it enough that Sarah Jessica Parker pushes her twins in one?
