Snow’s Creative Canvas

Our son wanted to make a mini-snowman, and one of the triplets put her two cents in.  We had no carrots in the refrigerator, so she decided to make a snap pea nose and use dried cranberries for eyes and buttons.  That was Sunday – perfect packing snow.  Our storm today buried the poor, little snow guy – and was the first thing the girls noticed this morning when we awoke to a Snowday! (No school.)  Later on, when the kids were playing outside, I watched them and loved how the “thrill” and awesomeness of snow spurs such creativity, that they can spend hours upon hours freezing their butts off!
