3 F’s – Fashion, Form, Function: Winter Boots

YIKES! Snow is predicted for tommorow (? so I’ve been told…but have yet to fact check this myself), and I just retired my standard, everyday, suburban, errand-running Tall Brooks Uggs (of the past four seasons, which btw, on the coldest days -when your eyes water and nose hairs freeze- kept my bare feet perfectly warm).

Here in New England, winter boots are a MUST, however, in the past, the ones that fulfilled my “function” requirement (function being waterproof) came with the price of sacrificing style.  As I contemplated hitting “Add to Shopping Cart” on Zappos.com, to re-purchase my Brooks Uggs (knowing they’d be on my doorstep tommorrow), I thought I’d surf around one last time.  I was pleasantly surprised to find some outrageously stylish winter boots that fit my 3 criteria:  function (waterproof and warm), form (comfortable in styling) and without a doubt, fashionable!

{a.b.c.}  These 3 are kickin’…(and a slight kick to the wallet too!), but hmmm….I’m not sure how over-the-knee shearling would fly at the grocery store?

{a.}  Burberry – $395 Net-a-Porter.com  {b.}  Sorel Joan of Arctic Reserve Pink – $400 Gorsuch  {c.} Hunter Over-The-Knee Shearling Lined – $495 Saks
